Liam has 25 years' industry experience specialising in the development and delivery of satellite projects. A highly experienced technical adviser to Export Credit Agencies (ECAs), commercial banks and private equity, he has been Lenders' Technical Advisor (LTA) for over $5bn of satellite project investment.
Liam was Director for Programme Management before taking on the role of Enterprise Risk Manager at OneWeb. He established initial programme and system engineering management processes, and had an ongoing responsibility for oversight of the Airbus OneWeb Satellite joint venture on behalf of the CFO.
As Enterprise Risk Manager, Liam was responsible for risk management and insurance. As the first large LEO constellation, a fresh approach was needed that protected the company, and was acceptable to OneWeb’s prospective lenders, shareholders and the United Kingdom Space Agency (UKSA). During this time, he was instrumental in placing the largest launch and in-orbit liability insurance policies to date.
Prior to OneWeb Liam worked at Access Partnership as Director for TMT. Alongside TMT practice development he undertook regulatory work for clients including representation at ITU meetings and development of national satellite regulations. Before joining Access Partnership, Liam was Head of Space at Mott MacDonald, establishing Mott MacDonald as a leading provider of LTA services in the satellite industry.
