Lenders' Advisory

We provide an end to end lender advisory service through each project phase:
  • Pre-financial close due diligence,
  • Post financial close project monitoring
  • Post completion operations monitoring
Our extensive project work has enabled us to form strong relationships with major financial institutions and Export Credit Agencies (ECAs).
In supporting lenders when engaging with complex satellite programmes, we act as either Technical Adviser or Insurance Adviser or both.

Lenders Technical Adviser (LTA)

The LTA is one of the key lenders’ advisers and is responsible for assessing the technical feasibility and bankability of a project. The job of the LTA is to translate the technical aspects of a project into the commercial language of financiers. The LTA works closely with a significant portion of the project parties: lenders, manufacturers (satellite, launch, ground), the project company and other lenders’ advisers (Insurance, Legal and Market).  The LTA will present technical issues in the correct form and context for these advisers and guides the lenders on how to evaluate the project. Rather than merely assessing the technology, the LTA offers a comprehensive risk assessment of the project.
Lenders' Insurance Adviser (LIA)
The LIA is another key adviser to financial institutions. The LIA works with the Insurance brokers and the project company to define the appropriate risk management strategy for the lenders. The LIA's primary concern is to ensure that insurance provisions adequately protect lenders from risks faced by the project and that these are correctly translated into the insurance coverage. Like the LTA, the LIA works closely with the other lenders’ advisers. In particular, the design of the insurance coverage will need to address the risks identified by the LTA.

Technical and Strategy

We work with organisations, large and small, on technical and strategic development of their satellite activities. At the technical level we support project planning and management, requirements definition, system engineering and technical analysis. At the strategic level we help clarify goals and most importantly focus on priorities.
